Program Entry Requirements

A. Direct entry applicants

i. At least three O'level credit passes in approved subjects.

ii. Two principal passes in ACSEE minimum of four (4) points in the following subjects: History, Geography, Kiswahili, English Language, Literature in English, French, Arabic, Fine Art,), where A = 5, B = 4, C = 3;D = 2,E = 1

B. Applicants seeking admission under the equivalent qualifications

i. At least a GPA of 3.0 for an Ordinary Diploma in Teacher Education.

iii. Foundation Certificate of the OUT with a GPA of 3.0.

1. Applicants must have two principal passes in ACSEE minimum of four (4) points, if one pass is not in mathematics, a subsidiary or pass of mathematics in o’level is required

2. Applicants seeking admission under the equivalent qualifications

i. At least three O`level credit passes in relevant subjects.

ii. A recognized Diploma NTA Level 6 from a recognized Institution with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0.

i. At least three O'level credit passes in approved subjects.

ii. Two principal passes in Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education in the following subjects: History, Geography, Kiswahili, English Language, Literature in English, French, Arabic, Fine Art, with 4.0 points. where A = 5, B = 4, C = 3,D = 2,E = 1,S = 0.5

B. Applicants seeking admission under the equivalent qualifications

i. At least three O`level credit passes in relevant subjects.

ii. A recognized Diploma in Education with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0.

An eligible applicant for MEMSIE programme should possess any of the following academic requirements/qualifications:

1. Holder of a Postgraduate Diploma in any field of Education with a minimum GPA of 4.0.
2. Any education related Bachelor degree with a minimum GPA of 2.7. Applicants who hold unclassified degrees should have at least a B grade average in relevant subjects of the intended area of specialization.

Admission into the Diploma in Early Childhood Development with Special Needs Education requires one of the following qualifications:

1. An applicant must have passed with Division I, II, or III with two Principal Passes.

1. Certificate of Primary School Teacher Education, OR
2. Certificate in Early Childhood Education from a recognized institution.

For a student to be eligible to join this programme he/she needs to possess the following qualifications:

1. A holder of an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with one principal pass.
2. A holder of a Certificate from a recognized institution.

Fees Structure

All foreigners' rates are in United States Dollar ($) while Tanzanian are in Tanzania Shillings (Tsh).
